Doug Gifford

I am proud to be your local State Farm Insurance Agent. I have worked for State Farm since 1994. I worked in Claims for 5 years. I became a State Farm agent in 1999. Prior to starting my career as a State Farm Agent, I attended the University of Northern Iowa. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Business. I interviewed with State Farm Insurance while still on campus and started a few days after graduation. I have been with State Farm ever since. My wife Tena works here in the office with me. She's been with State Farm since 1997. We have 4 great kids. Sydnee (23) works in Ames as an Interior Designer with an architecture firm, Brooklyn (21) is working in Carroll as a Project Manager at a social media firm, Dawson (19) is a sophomore at the University of Iowa, and Easton (15) is a freshman in high school. We also have 3 Black Labs, Maggie, Layla and River. I'm proud to follow my Dad's amazing 29 year State Farm legacy.

My passion is working one on one with our customers to help them prepare for what goes both right and wrong in their lives. Our insureds become part of our State Farm Insurance family. My least tenured person in the office is 20 years, so we've all been here getting to know each and every customer for years!
